To the ends of the earth

That is about where we go each year for soccer games. We haven't gone that far away yet but we will have a 2 hour drive coming up. UGHH! On curvy roads, too.

So far both of the Robinson teams are undefeated! Our tournements were last weekend. Nathan played at 9 o'clock in the morning and then again at 12. The first game was something like 4-1 and the second was 1-0. He is having a great year.He scores lots goals but his main problem is, as Mama says, that he takes his Sports Illustrated shot and then won't follow it in. Oh well. Here is Nathan's team last year. They won second place at state. Nathan is the third from the left.

Ben and Katie's tournement was yesterday. The first game was 10-2, our favor. I really hate those games when you pound the other team, but they both played an excellent game. The second game was AMAZING. I loved it! The score was one one most of the time and at the last bit they scored! The teams were evenly matched and it was an all around good game.
Also, Katie and I are refing some of the games this year. We both got certified this summer so that we could. Our first games were Saturday. Both of them went okay but I was so nervous it was awful. I think I called a fair game but I know it wasn't perfect. The best part was that all refs got free meals at the consesion stand.:)
Daddy and I are singing in the chorale in town. It's alot of fun. Our first performance was Friday. Then right after that Mama came and got me to take me to Wal-Mart to meet up with our youth group so I could go with them to Beckley for a concert at a church there. It was so much fun. It was really loud which I didn't like but the music was great.
And thus goes our chaotic life. We all have school and then we try to weave the other stuff in.
The leaves are starting to change and the air is getting cooler. This is probably the prettiest times around here. Well I'm going to do chemistry. (yay!-not)-Hannah

Happy 50th!

At the end of August we had a 50th wedding anniversary for mama's family. The highlight of the evening was when Grandmother tried to push rain water off of the top of one of the tents we were using.

She prepares to push it off.

With good success, it just went the wrong way.

Uncle Ray.

Cousin Nixon got tired and since the couches were in use...

Nixon's brother, Jeb.

Aunt Marge.

Aunt Betty.

This is the wedding cake. Isn't it gorgeous?

Granddaddy and Grandmother. I love you!

This is all of the grand kids but one who was at a soccer tournament. Jeb, Katie, Hannah, Lettie, Grandmother, Granddaddy, James, Ben, Nathan, and Nixon.

This is Ben's poker face.

Katie and Jeb. He was fascinated with the camera.

It did rain, but it was fun anyhow. Mama and Aunt Audrey and Uncle Stuart worked about a year on it so it was a really big deal. And, of course, Mama had to ban us from playing cards, tag, soccer, football, and hide and seek and all other such related items.
The funniest bit was the slide show with pictures of our parents in diapers. Adios!-Hannah

Dreadfully Busy

Hopefully those times are over for the most part. Blueberry season is over and school starts on Monday.

When I got on here I had every intention of putting the pictures from our vacation last week on here and telling you about it. However, I just found out that katie has not loaded them onto the computer yet so you'll have to wait.

Last Sunday we left right after church to go to Cincinnati and see the Creation Science museum and King's Island. We don't have pictures from King's Island because we spent the whole time in the water park and the camera would probably get ruined. They had billions of water slides there and we took every one of them. It was a blast. What was even better was that Daddy took them all with us. Everything seems so much more fun when your parents do it with you. I was so proud of myself because I was the only one who didn't get sunburnt. Even Katie( who claims to never burn) got burnt. All of the slides have Australian based names because the park is called Boomerang Bay. The Great Barrier Reef is a giant swimming pool that has some device in the deep end that makes waves. BIG waves. They were so much fun. We spent a lot of time there. At some piont in the afternoon Daddy, Mama, Ben, and I went to the main part of the park. Ben wanted to ride some non water related rides so I went with him on a few of them. Only a few thuough because my stomach can't stand to much of that. All in all we had a great time except for the sunburns. And I will tell you about the museum and trip home tomorrow or soon after. Adios. -Hannah

Out of the Silent Planet

I haven't had time most of the summer to blog but I'm here now. Mainly because of you Stephanie. So, lots of things have been going on, but mainly blueberry season. And that's almost over.

Awhile ago katie got a cut right over her lip and everyone thought it was chocolate so to cover it up she drew mouse whiskers and nose. Can you see which one is the cut?

And about a week ago our cousins came to visit. It was an absolute blast.

Some of the troup went swimming on Sunday. Mercy and Rachel at the park.

Vacation Bible School

I may have some pictures sometime, but not now. Our VBS started Mon., It's always great. I'm in the youth, lastnight there were 20 people in the youth. 124 people total. That's awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Our music leader is a great singer, she sings for the West Virginians, a group thet won a competition, got to go to Italy, & sang in front of the pope!! Yeah, so I feel sorta special, she's also a great director, so she's directing our skit.
