To Continue

Okay, I'm back. We had to pick up the yard so that Mama can mow.

This past weekend Daddy and us kids went to Uncle Mark's house. Daddy was grafting some trees for Uncle Mark. Uncle Marshall's family was there too. It was a lot of fun but it was WAY TOO HOT. In the ninties. I can't imagine what it will be like in August.

Here are some pictures. I don't have the ones from our last trip.

Julia and me being idiots.

Mama made lemon marangue for Easter. She is the kitchen queen.

Katie, Hannah, Anna, Peter, Julia, Ben, and Nathan.

Katie managed to break her glasses in half. She was wrestling Nathan and a friend of his.

Daddy and Ben on Ben's birthday. Ben got a 30 ott 6.(sp?)

Victory!

Yes! We won our first soccer game yesterday afternoon. The score was 3-0. Katie scored one of the goals. She actually scored another two but they didn't count because there was a hand ball right before she scored. I didn't score any 'cause I play defense.

Sorry I haven't blogged. Our computer has been malfunctioning. All better now.

The Monday after Easter Aunt Mary Kathryn and three of her kids came to visit. We had blast. We blasted a few things too.

Our cow tripled the amount of milk she was giving. 3 quarts to 9. We're swimming in it.

One of our bottle lambs died. We think he had pneumonia.

It's been really hot lately. Mama just told me to get off the computer so I'll have to finish later. Adios!-Hannah

Happy Easter!

Time flies for sure. Busy day after busy day and I haven't blogged for almost two weeks. Yesterday was Ben's 12th birthday. Mama and Daddy got him a 30 ott 6 and a scope. He was so excited. He can't shoot it until he gets his cast off next Monday, I think.

It's ramp season again! For those of you who don't know what ramps are, they a little like onions, they grow in cool, shady places, and they taste perfectly delicious. We went to dig some last Saturday( not yesterday) and had a blast.

We started spring soccer last Monday. We're a little late and the coaches are jamming as many practices in as possile before our first game. We practice Monday, Wednesday, Friday. That should end in a couple weeks when the games start.

One of the girls from our church goes to Alderson-Broddous College. She's in a singing group there called the "West Virginians". Anyway, since Erica is in that group they come to our church to sing sometimes. They were here this morning and it was so wonderful. They are really good.

April Fooling

I forgot to mention, Mama and Ben got all of us really good on an April fool. Mama called Ben from the downstairs phone and he answered. He made out that our neighbor Keenan was on the phone. After he hung up he went yelling through the house "Angie had a calf! Keenan just called and Angie had a calf!"

"What was it?"

"A heifer. A black heifer." We all left it at that. A few minutes later Ben came out and told us we'd all been fooled. What an ornery boy.

Spring

I think spring is here for good. Finally. We had gorgeous weather this past week( which is why I haven't written anything) but it's raining today and we need it. Daddy says the peaches should bloom in a few days and the forsithia came out yesterday. We're expecting a calf any day now and most of the birds are back.

I went over to Grandmother and Granddaddy's house Sunday afternoon. Grandmother and I went to see a play and later went back out to hear some jazz. I stayed the night and came home Monday morning.

Indoor soccer ended on Saturday. Spring soccer starts next week. This will probably be my last soccer season since all the leagues around here only go to age 14.

Ben's doing O.K. He goes tomorrow to get a smaller cast. Daddy isn't quite sure how the smaller one will work since Ben's pretty rough and might rebreak his arm. Adios!-Hannah
