Here is part of the muddle we've been doing for the past week.

Katie and Ben's soccer team. They and Nathan are playing at the state tournament right now. They won both of their games today and get to play in the championship game tomorrow. =)

Some of our sheep.

Daddy built this table at the back door to help pot plants.

The fig is progressing.

This is a picture of our piano recital last Thursday. Katie is in the back row, second from left. I am to the very far right.

Katie did a piano/violin duet with a girl from our homeschool group. It was gorgeous. They played Pachelbel's Canon.

Thought I'd drop in and say Hi! Unfortunately there are no pictures today because my mom took my camera somewhere last night and I haven't gotten it back yet.

I have been rather out of commission for the past week because I got my wisdom teeth removed, which is never fun. You can take my word for it.

The three other kids are at soccer practice right now getting ready for the state soccer tournement. They're all really excited. I'm going to be taking the SAT that weekend, so I don't get to go. But that's okay. This Saturday is going to be our first weekend in a LONG time with no soccer games, so we are taking off on a canoe trip in the morning. I'll see if my camera's up for the trip. Pictures later!

Good morning!

We've been incredibly busy this weekend with eight soccer games, taking shifts at the concession stand, and Katie playing the piano for a wedding for the first time. We were all very excited for Katie, but unfortunately none of us got to see her play because we were all still at soccer games. She said that it went well, though.
After such a long day, all of the parents were thrilled to hear that our games today had been cancelled due to flooded fields. =)
That evening we all came home and crashed and then watched Gunsmoke with Daddy. Mama watched too, but only because she had had us watch Gone With the Wind the week before. Today we can all enjoy a restful Sunday and go to church together.
We're looking forward to Grandmama and Grandpapa coming tomorrow!

Spring!

This is my sheep, with her first lamb, Nutmeg.

Blueberry blossoms.

These are Daddy's melon plants. =)

We have lots of lilacs here, but these are probably my favorites.

Hmmm, I can't remember if I posted pictures of the fig tree or not, but this was Daddy's newest idea this winter. They're only two tiny sprouts now.

We've been working on a side shed for our corn crib to keep the four-wheeler and wheel barrows.

And the finished product!

Sand and Cucumbers

If any of you have been wondering about what Katie has been up to, here is a general idea. In a nutshell, silliness.=)

Our neighbor's farm.

YAY, for spring!!

Daddy got a fig tree and I'm very excited.

Over spring break Katie and I went to the beach with a friend and some other people. We actually got in the water, I'm proud to say!

And here's Boson, a Newfoundland. He came to see us twice while we were on the beach. He was lots of fun, but terrified of the water. Can you explain this to me?

My sand castle. =)

Sleeping beauties.

As I said, we went to Cedarvill University last weekend. Saturday afternoon our friend there took us to the Indian mounds nearby. It was really cool and we had lots of fun.

I guess I ate more than I thought I did.
They are so proud of their waterfall there. Of course it's nothing like what we have here, but it was very pretty. I really couldn't believe how flat it was there!

This was a random stairway we found that led straight down into the river. Katie found it nessecary to go all the way to the bottom. Nikalee is on the right. She goes to Cedarville, so we stayed with her.

And this is Emma! She's Nikalee's younger sister. She's REALLY fun and incredibly sweet. =)

Good Morning!!

Since I was here last, Mama and Daddy had there 19th wedding anniversary and two days later I turned 17. =)

School has picked back up again and we're about half way done with this semster. I tell my friends that I only have eight more days of school, but really it's only that I go to class one day a week.

We're expecting lambs this week and we're all excited about that. We had coyotes kill 5 of the sheep this year, but hopefully we have that problem fixed.

Last weekend KD and I went up to Dayton to see Cedarville University. It was very fun and I like the school, but it was SO cold. Definitely not a plus.

Many apologies for no pictures. The laptop doesn't have any good ones.

Happy New Year!!

This will be mostly our Christmas though. Here is our tree. It's much more lovely in person though, you should come see it. =)

We like to leave our Christmas decorations up just as long as they last. Our Christmas tree last year went until February when Mama finally said it had to come down. So sad.

For fun, here are some of my favorite ornaments.

KD made this one, it's so cute! It's a Christmas elf with a skirt made of fake flower petals. =)

This year the boys played tricks on each other. Nathan here pulled out one of Mama's sweaters Christmas morning. Haha.

And the three pairs of shoes that I got. The snow boots are REALLY nice in this weather.

Our resident nut-case. Katiedid and her indoor soccer shoes. Indoor soccer is basically raquetball for soccer. Fun! She also got a new soccer ball. So she's happy.

And Nathan with the intertube we got. This is the real fun. Now all we need is a ski lift.

Lastly, I have been a very bad girl and not told any of you about my Thanksgiving. It was wonderful. One of my best friends lives in Atlanta (go figure) and her parents invited me to stay with them over Thanksgiving. We went to Myrtle Beach. It's not very often that I get to spend an 80 degree holiday. We spent LOTS of time on the beach. We found jellyfish and saw some incredible sunsets. We never got up early enough to see the sunrise, though. =)
