Big Day

We had a huge blueberry day, we ran out of parking, buckets, & almost berries. Hannah, our friend LouElla, & I are going to the farmer's market tomorrow. We each picked & sorted over 4 buckets each.

Too Early

We started blueberry season on June the 27, at 7:15 to be precise. We open at 8:00. We had people waiting to pick for 45 min.

Crazy Man

Our cousin, Peter, came down a couple wks. ago for an all out amazing visit. We had a blast. He stayed for 12 days. He is definitely what you call a crazy man, Crazy, but awesome. Our Grandparents came Mon. Grandmother helps cook, clean, ect. while we're so busy with blueberry season.(We started Sat.) We got into water fights, annoyed Hannah, picked blueberries, went swimming, rode bikes, played Cops & Robbers, found bees nests the hard way, & had a blast. At one point Hannah got so tired of us she put salt in our drinks at supper. We explored our neighbors woods & I got sprayed by Peter with the water hose. What fun. Last night Uncle Marshal, his boys Will & Clark, Peter's sister, Anna came down. Uncle Marshal had to leave that night. This morning Grandmother & Grandfather took Peter & Anna home. All the sudden the house seems very quiet, unusual you know.

Of cousins & mountains & camp

I'm running out of computer time, so I'll tell hilarious camp stories, ridiculous cousin stories & show you a thousand great pictures later. Now I'll dig for facts. We left Mon. at 7:00. We got to my Grandparents house at 1:00. We got to Ridge Haven Camp at 2:00. We all had an unspeakably awesome week filled with unexplainable fun & got back Sat. at 10:00. More later.

hay

The lovely time of year full of sunscreen & hot sun & aching muscules, not my favorite. Just after we started our neighbors came to help.Patrick & Patricia Roberts & their 2 boys, Evan & Calvin(12 & 3) came to help.
Patricia is sitting ontop of a haystack she built. Amazing lady.

We finished the hay before the rain came, but it's still really green. We also only put up half as much as usual.

I Blessed Someone

I had a little trouble with what to title this post. I'd thought about 'all gone' , 'cut off'', or 'Locks of Love', but I decided on 'I Blessed Someone ', because frankly, I did. I got 9 inches of my beautiful, dark brown, often complemented, much loved hair cut off & I gave it to Locks of Love. A lot of people I know would be mad at me for it, alot would love me for it, & even more would be so flabber-gasted thet they couldn't tell me how they felt. I like the hair cut,it took some getting used to, though. It still comes down to my mid back, so I don't have short hair, at least for normal people, but I'm not normal, & I think it's pretty short. If anyone likes the feeling of sacrificing, freely giving, of caring till it hurts, give your hair to Locks of Love. It's an organization that takes 8-10 in. of hair & makes into wigs for cancer patients. A friend of ours from our church saw my hair & hit the ceiling, seriously, I have never ever seen someone so surprised. She said no one can call me "horsey tale" any more (thank Goodness!). Anyway, those of you who loved my hair, please don't have a heart attack, I'll grow it back out in a matter of a few years.
We're going to Ridge Haven Camp this coming week, & we hoped to leave tomorow, but that may not happen because we cut down hay, but now it's rained for the last 3 days, so we may put it up Sat. or Sun., which means we can't leave for camp till it's done.............hay season, not my favorite time of year. Oh well.

Hello again!

Well, we've certainly had a busy couple of weeks. And maybe not extremely busy all of the time, but nonetheless eventful.

Thursday, the 28th I had a honor recital for piano. I was a bit freaked out since I had been camping all week and not practiced. I did okay, though. They had the most gorgeous piano where the recital was held. It had something like a mirror right above the keys. When you play you can look into the mirror and see your hands moving.

Thursday night Katie and I spent the night at Grandmother and Granddaddy's house. The next morning we helped her do some yard work and other such related things. At 11:00 we had an apiontment, but I can't tell you what about 'cause Katie wants to say.

And Sunday. It was Youth Sunday so our Youth Group ran the service. Very, Oh what to call it, interesting. Particularly the practices. Josie, a girl my age, led the service. She was absolutely awesome at it and didn't look nervous at all. We all led the singing and Katie and I played for the hynms. The boys did the children's sermon. Another boy and I took up offering. The boy's mother said we looked like we were racing as we came back up the aisle. I will say, we were walking really fast. At the very end all of us did a skit. It went well. I'll try to get some pictures of it and the service in general.

The rest I'll save for Katie. Adios!-Hannah
